JESS ALIZZI

TASTEMAKER SERIES

Talk us through a typical day in the life of Jess Alizzi.

There’s really no such thing as a ‘typical’ day in my life – but most days are a rotation between creating content for my personal social channels, running my small business HIKUU, collaborating with brands I genuinely align with, attending events/meetings and always cooking something extra delicious at home.

We adore your matcha brand, Hikuu Life. Beyond your morning matcha, what daily rituals help you stay grounded and creatively inspired?

Having spent over a decade in the creative space, I’ve learnt that inspiration naturally ebbs and flows. While I feel the most creatively energised when travelling to new cities and experiencing life beyond my everyday routine, I’ve found it’s just as important to nurture inspiration at home. Changing up my environment makes a huge difference – some days that means working from a cosy café, exploring a different part of my city or simply rearranging my apartment. These small shifts keep my perspective fresh and creativity flowing. Daily rituals like regular exercise, healthy eating and intentional downtime also play a big role in keeping me grounded and inspired.

When it comes to curating a space, what’s your philosophy?

I love spaces that feel cosy, relaxed, and lived-in, and my philosophy has always been to take my time with the process. I’ve been in my current apartment for four years now and am still making meaningful updates to it. My style naturally leans toward mid-century minimalism, but I also love weaving in design elements inspired by my travels to Japan.

How do you think your home reflects your personal style?

I see my home as a natural extension of my personal style. The textures and tones I’m drawn to in my outfits often find their way into my décor as well — it’s all connected. This year, for example, I’ve been loving rich browns and cherry reds, which have shown up both in my wardrobe and in details around my home, from my bedding, to my flower and vase arrangements.

Must-have pieces from our collection?

Quite literally everything – I love everything Fleur Studios creates but if I had to pick a few must-have pieces from your new collection right now it would be the Oslo Coffee Tables, Beau Walnut Bench Seat & Cleo Walnut Tall Stool.
