We are currently hiring for a Product Designer & Customer Experience Manager.
Product Designer
We’re looking for a Product Designer to support the design and development of Fleur Studios furniture and homewares collections.
Working closely with our Founder and Creative Director, this role helps translate ideas into technically sound, production-ready designs. You’ll be involved in the process from conceptualisation through to final product, working with materials, drawings and prototypes to bring ideas to life.
Fleur Studios is a design-led brand creating timeless, sculptural furniture and objects for modern spaces. We care deeply about materiality, craftsmanship and considered design - and we value people who take pride in getting the details right.
This is a hands-on role with real involvement in the design process, working closely with the founder and seeing your work move from concept through to finished product.
What you’ll be doing
- Support the design and development of new furniture and object concepts from initial idea through to production.
- Work closely with our Director to refine design and construction details with a strong focus on materiality and craft.
- Develop clear technical drawings and documentation suitable for prototyping and manufacturing.
- Review construction methods and recommend materials, joinery or methods where needed to improve performance, manufacturability or cost.
- Create and manage CAD files including 3D models, assemblies, detailed drawings and specifications for suppliers.
- Apply a strong working knowledge of materials including marble, stone, wood, metals such as stainless steel and brass.
- Conssider structural integrity, tolerances, finishes and production constraints throughout the design process.
- Liaise with suppliers, fabricators and manufacturers to clarify details and resolve technical challenges.
- Support prototyping, sampling and revisions through to final production sign-off.
- Maintain organised design files, drawings and version control across projects.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong aesthetic judgement with a deep appreciation for proportion, geometry and materiality.
- 3-5 years experience in furniture, object or industrial design, ideally working on material-led products with a strong technical focus.
- Proven ability to translate concepts into detailed, production-ready designs.
- Solid understanding of materials such as stone, marble, timber and metal.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Rhino, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar).
- Comfortable producing detailed technical drawings, dimensions and specifications.
- Highly detail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with designers, suppliers and manufacturers.
- Experience working with prototypes, samples and production workflows.
- Ability to balance aesthetic intent with engineering constraints and cost targets.
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities as projects evolve.
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical or Furniture Engineering (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
This role is flexible — part-time or full-time, on-site or remote, and open to interstate applicants. Please submit your resume along with a cover letter and portfolio or examples of your work via this link here.
Customer Experience Manager
We are looking for an experienced Customer Experience Manager to take ownership of our customer journey across online and in-store touchpoints. This is a senior, hands-on role within a lean and high-performing team, requiring both operational rigour and a refined understanding of premium service.
You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day customer experience function - overseeing systems, workflows and service standards - while remaining closely connected to customers and the details that shape their experience.
This role requires someone who can think strategically, operate confidently within Shopify and Gorgias, manage escalations with sound judgement, and continuously improve processes as we scale.
What you'll be doing
- Share responsibility for the CX function end to end.
- Confidently handle escalations and complex customer matters.
- Maintain high standards across all communication channels.
- Own workflows within Shopify and Gorgias CRM.
- Improve processes, automations, macros and reporting.
- Identify friction points and implement practical solutions.
- Support preorder management and inventory communication.
- Support in person sales showroom clients ensuring a premium, considered experience aligned with Fleur Studio’s brand.
- Monitor feedback, trends and proactively address issues.
- Support loyalty and retention initiatives.
- Work closely with operations and marketing to ensure alignment.
- Liaise with 3PL partners on fulfilment & reverse logistics.
- Document product quality concerns clearly and constructively.
- Process orders, returns and exchanges where required.
- Maintain expert product knowledge.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years experience in retail or eCommerce customer experience.
- Experience in a mid-size retail business - furniture experience is a plus but not essential.
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify and Gorgias.
- Calm, commercially aware and confident handling high-level issues.
- A natural leader and collaborator.
- Highly organised and proactive.
- Comfortable leading within a flat structure.
- Collaborative by nature - you value shared ownership over hierarchy.
