Sustainability & Care Tips

In all aspects of our business, we strive to apply principles of sustainability and transparency. Our Walnut and Oak timber is sustainably grown and harvested in North America with FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certifications.

Our Timbers

American Walnut is a luxurious hardwood known for its deep colour and rounded timber grain characteristics.

Most admired for its premium, striking aesthetic, Walnut is a refined timber loved for its elevated, classic beauty that is signature to mid-century style.

American Oak is a hardwood admired for its detailed timber grain and blonde, honey tones that add warmth and character to a space.

With a relaxed understated aesthetic, Oak is a versatile favourite found in homes across Australia.

Timber Care

When cared for correctly, timber will age like fine wine becoming a future heirloom that will last decades. Wear and tear is an inevitable quality of most materials, but there are ways to slow this process with your timber.

Timber is a natural material that characterises over time, adapting to its environment and use.

When exposed to drastic temperature changes like aircon or indoor fires, the timber will move as it expands and contracts.

Avoid placing hot items like drinks directly onto surfaces and always use drink coasters, placemats or tablecloths. Place protective pads under vases and other decorative items to help avoid scratching timber.

When cleaning, avoid harsh cleaning products and opt for a cleanser that is free of acidic detergents, bleach and abrasive properties.

Styling our pieces

A natural material, Timber brings warmth and character to a space. The beauty of timber is in the material itself, granting it the ability to elevate a space without needing anything extra. Left bare, our pieces shine through no matter how big or small.

Let it shine

Timber is a beautiful feature. Its unique characteristics combined with our bold design silhouettes can be used as a beautiful statement piece in your space. Take advantage of these characteristics and be bold.

Dress it up

Our pieces are perfect when styled with simple elements, especially in smaller spaces like apartments - less is more. Opt for a minimalist vase with an arrangement, or keep it simple with some books.

Mixed Materiality

Combining materials and layering textures creates a warmth and grounded feeling. Try balancing timber's earthiness with the luxuriousness of marble or leather. In our Pebble collection we combined Oak with Marble to achieve this feeling of balance.
